Explore high chairs at Baby Direct. Compare folding and convertible designs, tray options, cleaning features and dimensions for your dining space. Check each product’s included parts and the requirements for every seating mode.
Choose around the way you use your dining space
A folding high chair can be useful when the chair needs to be stored between meals. A convertible design offers different seating configurations, but each mode has its own assembly and suitability requirements. Compare the assembled footprint first, then check the folded size if storage matters.
Our range includes Rever Bebe high chairs, folding designs, convertible wooden chairs and selected seating accessories. For everyday fold-away storage, explore the Rever Bebe Easy Fold. To compare a convertible wooden option, see the Rever Bebe 6-in-1. Check the product page for the current configuration and purchase status.
Look beyond the tray
Small design differences can change your daily routine. Compare how the tray comes off, where it is stored, how the seat and harness are cleaned, and whether crumbs can collect around joins or padding. Only use a dishwasher or washing machine for parts the manufacturer identifies as suitable.
- Dining-space fit: check leg spread, tray height and clearance around the chair.
- Adjustments: compare tray positions, seat height and footrest settings available on the exact model.
- Included parts: confirm whether the tray, cushion, harness, baby set or adaptors shown are supplied or sold separately.
- Later configurations: read each mode’s limits rather than applying one age or load limit to the whole product.
Check suitability and use it as instructed
Choose a configuration that meets the manufacturer’s age, size and developmental requirements. A reclining setting or newborn accessory does not make every configuration suitable for feeding, and a high chair should not be used as a sleep space.
Follow the assembly instructions, secure the restraint system, supervise your child throughout use and remove them before adjusting the chair. The ACCC high-chair guide explains the stability, harness and everyday-use checks to make.

Frequently asked questions
When can my baby start using a high chair?
Check the exact model and configuration. Your child must meet its stated developmental, age and size requirements, including any requirement to sit upright unaided. Do not rely on an age label alone or assume that all modes have the same suitability.
Does a convertible high chair also fold?
Not necessarily. “Convertible” describes a change in use or configuration; folding is a separate feature. Check the model’s instructions, folded dimensions and whether the tray or other parts need to be removed for storage.
Are the tray and cushion included?
Inclusions vary. A high chair, baby set, cushion, tray and adaptor can be separate products. Read the “What’s included” information for the exact listing and confirm accessory compatibility before ordering.
Can all high-chair parts go in the dishwasher?
No. A dishwasher-safe tray insert does not mean the seat, frame, harness or complete tray is dishwasher-safe. Follow the cleaning instructions for each component.
Buying guide
High-chair buying guide: fit, cleaning and configurations
The most useful comparison is the one you can apply at home: where the chair will stand, how you will clean it and which configuration your child can use. Start with these checks before choosing a colour or a long list of modes.

Measure the space where meals happen
Measure the floor area around the table, allowing for the high chair’s legs, tray and the space you need to sit alongside it. Keep the route through the room clear. If you plan to fold the chair, measure the storage spot too and check whether the published folded size includes the tray.
For example, the Rever Bebe 7-in-1 Convertible Foldable High Chair is listed at 61 × 52.5 × 97 cm in high-chair mode, with floor-to-tray settings of 73, 76 or 79 cm. Those are assembled dimensions, not its folded storage size. Check the selected product’s current specifications before relying on a measurement.
Compare three different approaches
| Option | Features to compare | Important next check |
|---|---|---|
| Rever Bebe 6-in-1 Wooden High Chair | Removable double trays, wipe-clean cushion, two footrest positions and a storage shelf. | Allow for the full leg footprint. Confirm the parts and suitability requirements for the configuration you intend to use. |
| Rever Bebe 7-in-1 Foldable High Chair | A folding design, three seat-height settings, two tray positions and a removable cushion. | Compare the assembled dimensions with your dining area and ask for the folded measurements if storage space is tight. |
| Maxi-Cosi Moa | Modular seating, an adjustable footrest, a dishwasher-safe tray insert and a washable harness. | Use the manual for the supplied model to confirm the permitted modes and their individual limits. |
This is a feature shortlist, not a safety ranking or a hands-on test. The range also includes Rever Bebe Easy Fold and other designs in the high-chair collection.
Work through the clean-up
Picture the end of a meal. Can you remove the tray without tipping food onto the floor? Is there a separate insert? Does the cushion detach, and can you reach the joins underneath it? Where will cleaned components dry? Check those details in the product instructions rather than assuming that “easy clean” applies to every part.
Separate the care instructions for the tray, insert, cushion, harness and frame. For example, a removable cushion may be wipe-clean rather than machine-washable. Refit all parts exactly as instructed before the next use.
Count the configurations you will actually use
A larger “in-one” number does not automatically give you a better fit. Think about whether you need a full-height high chair, a later child-sized chair or a table-and-chair setup. Check which changes require tools, which parts must be kept and where you will store them. Read the size and use limits for each mode separately.
If an accessory connects to an adult dining chair or table, check the manufacturer’s requirements for that supporting furniture. If the product includes a newborn attachment, check its distinct use instructions. Do not assume a newborn accessory permits feeding solids or sleeping.
